About the Artist
Angelica is a second-year medical student at NSU-KPCOM who is gradually learning to balance the responsibility of being a future physician with the necessity of putting one’s health and well-being first. She is a Miami-native who is extremely proud of her Cuban heritage and originally pursued a medical career to serve as a bridge for members in her community who have been overlooked by the healthcare system due to language and cultural barriers. When she is not studying, she enjoys recreational reading, weight-lifting, traveling, and keeping up with the Formula 1 racing season. She has no clue what speciality she wants to pursue just yet, but is excited for the possibility of making tangible change in her future patients’ lives.
