Abstract
In this presentation I will present the current interdsciplinary research I am engaged in for my doctoral dissertation. I am working on a family-directed, qualitative/Indigenous methods study of an Anishnaabe family revitalization of their clan identity. I will review the challenges of designing/doing research acceptable within the academic paradigm yet based in an "Indigenous Knowledge" paradigm. I will also explore my position as a non-Aborignal researcher with an "insder/outside" status.
