Abstract

Children have been experiencing the phenomenon of play forever. Childhood play is slowly shifting to the point of depletion in schools. Play deprivation contributes to many health problems. Play is important for children to develop academically, socially, emotionally and physically. Play is the way children prepare for life. The purpose of this case study is to explore how early childhood teachers utilize play with their students and will describe the teachers’ perspective of play.
