Abstract
The central exploration is how female officers’ bodies are depicted on the TV show “Police Women of Broward County.” A review of literature comparing composition and capability of female and male bodies will contextualize findings within the criminal justice system. Analyses about female officers’ competency in the field will consider negative, positive, and neutral attitudes. Discussions of female officers’ affirming self-perceptions overcoming detractors will be presented.
