Abstract

This research focused on how the worldviews that music therapists hold influence the practice and teaching of music therapy. Music therapy educators from various countries were interviewed to aid in understanding how their worldviews influence their practice. Responses were found in the following categories: influence of culture on clinical practice; on teaching; on perception and thinking about the therapeutic process; in informing worldviews; and on both clinical practice and teaching.
