Volume 18 (2021) Course Showcase 2021

As the official student-run literary and arts journal here at NSU, Digressions has always showcased outstanding creative student work. In years past, having a classic print issue of the journal meant we were limited by publishing constraints such as page limit, printing cost, and media type. This year’s move to a digital format has granted us the opportunity to branch out and diversify the kinds of submissions featured in Volume 18.

With an eye towards collegiality and inclusivity, this year’s digital issue features its first ever “Course Showcase”--a companion piece to the main issue that features student works developed across numerous NSU courses and on-campus initiatives. This is a new feature to Digressions that we hope to develop further in future issues, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Miriam Ahmed, Dr. Mario D’Agostino, Dr. Aileen Miyuki Farrar, and Dr. Rachel Panton for sharing their students’ excellent work with us. It is our hope that as Digressions continues to grow and develop, other colleagues across NSU will consider Digressions as a place to share, promote, and celebrate the outstanding creative student work being developed in their courses here at NSU.
