Administered the Halstead Category Test (HCT) and a booklet version of the test (N. A. DeFilippis et al, 1979) to 38 male patients in 3 diagnostic categories: organic brain syndrome, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. There was a significant correlation between the 2 versions for all Ss; however, there were significant differences among the correlation coefficients between groups. For Ss with organic brain syndrome and personality disorders, the booklet version correlated with the original HCT as well as the original correlated with itself. Its usefulness is discussed.
