Artist Statement
This paper discusses body image and social norms, media and implications on health for men as for women. The important issue of body image is rarely addressed toward men's health and wellness while it is widely recognized for women.

About the Artist
Elliot Montgomery Sklar, PhD, MS, is Assistant Director of the Master of Public Health Program at Nova Southeastern University. He is an Assistant Professor of Public Health, Family Medicine and Disaster and Emergency Management. In 2008, he received the first awarded Ph.D. in Public Health from Florida International University following graduate research in psychology, marketing and communication theory. His professional experiences have focused on the health behavior and well being, including men's health. He has published and provided numerous presentations on the subject of men's health and body image nationally and is a member of the Men's Health Caucus of the American Public Health Association.
