The goal of this CE module is to provide pharmacists with an overview of the use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) in the management of diabetes. This program will review the currently available models of insulin pumps and CGMs and describe the role, risks, and benefits of each device in management of diabetes. Finally, authors will explain patient characteristics to consider for initiating insulin pump or CGM use and key counseling points to assist insulin pump and CGM users in practice.
