    The Art Speaks: Crossing Borders Artist Panel

    Crossing Borders Exhibit: Artists Panel Date: June 30, 2022 An interactive panel discussion with the artists from Crossing Borders. They discussed their cultural heritage, art education, inspiration for art making, and how their new lives in America influences their artistic work. The panel was curated by Tony Khawam. Tony was born in Aleppo, Syria and now lives and works in Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and a Master in Commercial Art from Montclair State University in New Jersey. He is deeply rooted in his Middle Eastern heritage and the American experience through history, current events, and the surrounding urban landscape to where he lives and work.
