Abstract
MFA students & I explored sense of self & its impact on our roles as individuals, students, artists, TAs & professionals. Using action research methods I recorded oral, written & visual data regarding personal/professional experiences. Findings revealed effects of complex relationships (self/peers/family/professors), need for sound writing skills, & desire to become teachers. Implications suggest more research with MFA students; courses addressing self & perspectives for School of Art faculty.
