Abstract
In April of 1969, Steve McQueen and Nova Southeastern University's Oceanographic Center were in discussions to build a submersible for a film project. Steve McQueen visited the campus and spoke with President Warren Winstead and Dr. William Springer Richardson about the project. A proposal was drafted by Dr. Richardson and Dr. Burke and submitted to McQueen's company, Solar Productions, with specifications on the planned undersea vehicle which would be constructed by NSU's Oceanographic Center with funding provided by Solar Productions. The project was never approved to proceed.
