Description
Incivility is on the rise and is permeating the college campus. Social media bring instant communication and a potential to contribute to the slippery slope of inappropriate language and behavior in today’s student. This presentation will demonstrate how higher education professionals have the chance to change the culture by modeling appropriate behavior and raising awareness of what constitutes civility. The presenters will evaluate cases of incivility and identify strategies and best practices for fostering a more-civil discourse.
