Abstract
Unfortunately, many still do not appreciate the importance of studying educational innovations using the appropriate application of the scientific method. If education generally, and educational technology specifically, are to move from the realm of a craft to that of a profession, the need for scientific rigor must be a defining priority at the foundation of our decisions.
