Description

As many of the constructs of KM success have been identified and empirically shown to have an impact on that success, the need for understanding the underlying influences on these constructs becomes increasingly important. This meta-study investigated the meanings of leadership and its subconstructs (traits/skills, behavior/style, and power) to understand their influences on KM by exploring answers to two research questions: What is meant by the term leadership and how has it been used in KM literature? What are the open research questions about the constructs of leadership and their impact on KM? The answers to these questions take the form of a metaanalysis of the literature and a matrix of the KM success factors and subconstructs of leadership.
