Abstract
The article discusses a study on the strategies for teaching mathematics to pre-school students with autism in Australia. The study exposes students to the Project Math Is Not Difficult (MIND) strategies, and indicates that students with high-functioning autism showed an increase in knowledge of mathematical concepts. It suggests starting with the everyday relationships, objects and terminology that students know because they learn quickly to play and work with each other.
