Description
The paper revisited the literature on researcher-practitioner partnerships, discussing how they are built and maintained. Examples were presented of how the partnership’s research studies have addressed and solved “real life” problems faced by BSO and other local police departments, including personnel stress, officer interaction with mentally ill civilians, and identifying factors associated with officer survival in armed encounters with they are built and maintained.
