This internship involves an opportunity to volunteer your time at Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute for Cancer Research. Students will be able to have a hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. The research will focus on gaining a better understanding of how cancer cells work in the body and the mechanism in which they function. Students will learn lab techniques that will aid them in the classroom as well. Lastly, the importance and gratification in working in the field of preventative medicine is very rewarding. The sense of fulfillment to help prevent diseases and maintains people’s well-being is very gratifying.
