Abstract

This phenomenological study investigated the relationships between 7 fathers and their sons with autism spectrum disorder. Seven major themes emerged and will be discussed: Shared Activities, Developmental Sensitivity, Emotional Understanding, Fighting the Label, Fatherhood Expectations, Parent Responsibility, and Fatherhood Isolation.
