Abstract

As qualitative researchers, positing direct challenges to the paradigms underlying our craft is something we do rather rarely, but must do it in order to advance our field fundamentally. We argue for an expanded understanding of data and assert that researchers not only create their reality, but also their data. We illustrate our point by presenting our arguments in rhyming iambic pentameter, which reflexively positions our text and ourselves as data to be examined and understood.
