Abstract
This paper will discuss the legislation regarding effluent water disposal, the processes of conventional wastewater treatment, and how current treatment and disposal methods do not conform with the legislation. It will further examine alternative approaches to wastewater treatment and how they are economically more viable and legally more in compliance with the current legislation.
